A lectern is arrived from a Latin word.  It is a reading desk with a slanted top, usually placed on a stand or affixed to some or other form of support on which documents or books can be placed as support for reading aloud. Casters or wheels which can be fixed to any furniture to move about from one place to another.  These casters can be attached to lecterns for easy transportation.  The accessories attached to that make themselves useful on a regular basis. Some or many presenters use overhead projectors and film to display detailed processes which help to explain difficult concepts to the listeners.  As some presenters can count on handy graduate students and other teaching assistants to set up things in a hurry.  By making sure a lecterns or heavy podium is equipped with sturdy casters, any speaker can assure that they will be ready to move their operations around at a moment’s notice, increasing their communication ability and audience retention lecterns. Then, when its time to switch gears and start demonstrating a process you have just thoroughly explained to a room or auditorium full of diligent note-takers, delays due to movement and set up can really reduce the impact of the following display.
